Long-Awaited Nokia E71x Now Available from Amazon with Free Activation

Nokia’s answer to full QWERTY-ized BlackBerry device is finally available from a U.S. cellular carrier in the form of the E71x from AT&T. Up until now, the non-AT&T E71 (minus the “x”) has only been available to our Canadian neighbors and as unlocked versions (in gray and white). The E71x for AT&T is virtually identical in shape and function to its E71 counterpart, but it comes in a very business-ey black and adds AT&T Navigator for voice-guided GPS turn-by-turn directions, Quickoffice for on-phone editing of Microsoft Office files, and access to AT&T’s music and video download and streaming services (as noted by Electronista).

Other features include 3G HSDPA cellular connectivity, Wi-Fi networking (802.11b/g), Bluetooth for both handsfree devices and stereo music streaming, a 3.2-megapixel camera/camcorder, and access to both corporate and personal email as well as instant messaging and standard text messaging. You can read more about it with this E71x-specific review over at CNet as well as this review of the unlocked E71 at Electronista.

The E71x is available for ordering today, and Amazon is offering free activation (a credit of $36) through May 18 when you purchase an E71x and a qualifying line of service activated on an upgrade, or a new two-year individual or family plan account. Check out the details here.
